Helpful, Free Online Resources
Ketamine works for about 70-80% of patients - it is an excellent treatment. But there is more we can do to help it work better, and faster, and for longer.
Below are some of the free programs that I’ve found that are comprehensive, well-created and really helpful. The hardest part of going for a walk is putting your shoes on and the hardest part of doing these classes is logging in.
This Way Up
“THIS WAY UP is a trusted Australian provider of evidence-based, internet-delivered Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (iCBT) programs [-] a joint initiative of St Vincent’s Hospital and the University of New South Wales [and] funded by the Australian Government ...”
“To date, we have created over 15 tailored courses for a range of mental health conditions... Our online courses are available instantly without a need for an assessment or a referral, making it easier for you to access quality mental health self-help.”
A note for patients of Lone Star Infusion: the courses normally cost about $59 Aus but I’m able to prescribe any of the This Way Up programs for my patients for free. If you are interested in this, let us know which class. We use only your name, email, and your preferred class and then you recieve an email from them letting you into the class! You can do as many as you like, but only one at a time.

“This online MBSR [Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction] training course is 100% free, created by a fully certified MBSR instructor, and is based on the program founded by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Here you will find a complete eight-week MBSR course, designed for people who are not able to take a live MBSR course for financial or logistical reasons. All of the materials used in the live courses ... including guided meditations, articles and videos, are freely available here.”
CBTLA Online CBT Workbook

“A self-help workbook that introduces the CBT model, cognitive restructuring, cognitive distortions, and behavioral interventions. Includes worksheets that are free to download and print. A practical CBT book recommended for consumers and mental health professionals. A strength of cognitive behavioral therapy is its ability to be used in psychotherapy as well as at home for self-help.”
